‘आशा ताई को श्रद्धांजलि—आपकी आवाज हमेशा हमारे दिलों में जीवित रहेगी,’ reads the message etched on the sand, translating to a promise that her voice endures. Assisted by his dedicated students, Pattnaik’s creation highlights Bhosle’s dignity, artistic prowess, and deep emotional bonds with fans.
Over decades, Bhosle enchanted audiences with her multifaceted vocals in Bollywood classics and beyond, shaping the industry’s soundscape. Her legacy, from soulful ghazals to peppy numbers, remains unmatched.
Reflecting public sentiment, Pattnaik said, ‘Her songs were the soundtrack of our lives.’ Meanwhile, Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi expressed profound grief online, describing the loss as irreparable and offering condolences to her family and the music world.
