Film 'Arjun Bewakoof' Combines Crime, Dark Comedy and Suspense

Mumbai, October 1 (IANS) – "Arjun Bewakoof," the new Hindi feature starring Sanjay Mishra and Rajesh Tailang, is positioned as a genre-bending project that mixes crime, suspense, dark humor and comedy. The film’s teaser was rolled out in Prayagraj on September 26, generating excitement among local audiences.

Both Mishra and Tailang expressed a desire to be present for the launch. Mishra shared a personal anecdote about an unfulfilled wish to see the sea for the first time in Mumbai, which instead happened at Kanyakumari. He likened that unmet expectation to his longing for the movie’s journey to commence in Prayagraj, a wish that could not be realised due to scheduling conflicts.

Tailang added that Prayagraj feels like a sacred land to him, noting the city's supportive crowd and the heartfelt connection he feels every time he returns. He promised to attend future screenings and promotional events once filming wraps up.

The ensemble includes Dolly Singh, Anand Raj, Malvi Malhotra, Jigisha Joshi, Shikhar Mishra and Satendra Yadav. Direction is by Smita Singh, with the script authored by Anand Raj. The film aims to deliver a fresh take on traditional crime comedies while honoring the cultural backdrop of its launch city.
