Amrita Arora’s Playful Birthday Wish for Sister Malaika

Actress Amrita Arora has shared a playful and affectionate birthday message for her elder sister Malaika Arora, who turns 53 on Friday.

Rather than a conventional greeting, Amrita penned a poem that doubled as both a tribute and a friendly roast. The Instagram post, which featured a picture of Malaika, has since drawn plenty of reactions from social media users and celebrities.

Amrita’s caption reflected on the sisters’ shared history. She described Malaika as someone with a distinctive personality and recalled their endless debates about fashion, personal tastes, and whose advice deserved to be followed. These discussions often went nowhere, she wrote, yet the two always stood together during every challenge.

“We argued a lot, we cried sometimes, but every single moment brought us closer year after year,” Amrita wrote.

The poem then took a humorous turn. Amrita said that Malaika’s name signifies an angel, and that while she might be able to convince others of that, Amrita knew better. She claimed to recognise the real devil residing within her sister. Amrita concluded by saying she had finally honoured her promise to write a poem, and sent warm birthday wishes along with a heartfelt message of love.

Malaika responded in the comments, saying she had finally received her poem. She accompanied her reply with love emojis.

Kareena Kapoor Khan also weighed in, praising Amrita with applause and calling the post very good. She requested that Amrita send her a WhatsApp message immediately.
