Amitabh Bachchan Shares Heartfelt Note for Mother’s Birth Day

Celebrated actor Amitabh Bachchan honored his mother, Teji Bachchan, on her birth day with an emotional social media post on August 12. He described her as “our inspiration, our morale, our patience” and praised her lifelong influence.

Choosing not to upload a photograph, Bachchan wrote that the image of a loved one whose presence lives within the heart cannot be adequately represented online.

He also posted a succinct message on another platform, noting, “T-5823 – 12 August, Mother’s birthday! She embodied inspiration, courage, and patience—a vast world forever inside my heart.”

Born in 1914, Teji Bachchan married the renowned poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan in 1941 and was an active figure in literary circles. Her artistic pursuits included stage performances, such as a Hindi version of Shakespeare’s Macbeth.

She was the mother of Amitabh and Ajitabh Bachchan. While Ajitabh pursued a business career away from the film sector, Amitabh rose to become a legend of Hindi cinema.

Teji Bachchan died on 21 December 2007 in Mumbai at the age of 93, a few months after her grandson Abhishek’s marriage to film star Aishwarya Rai.
