Mumbai, May 25. When Akshara Singh stepped onto the set of Welcome to the Jungle, she knew the stakes were higher than any previous project. Sharing the frame with Akshay Kumar in the lively number Ghis Ghis Ghis meant representing Bhojpuri cinema on one of Bollywood’s biggest stages. Speaking to reporters, the actress-singer admitted initial disbelief. She had long admired Akshay from afar; working beside him turned admiration into lived reality. More important than personal glory, however, was the chance to showcase her mother tongue to millions who might otherwise never hear it. Despite running a temperature, Akshay maintained peak energy during takes, learning Bhojpuri phrases between shots and encouraging Akshara to deliver bolder expressions. Choreographer Ganesh Acharya further bolstered her confidence, publicly declaring she would nail difficult sequences. The supportive atmosphere helped Akshara absorb lessons in performance and screen craft. Looking back, she singled out two memories: Akshay repeating her lines phonetically and Ganesh patiently correcting her posture. Both gestures reinforced her belief that dedication transcends language barriers. Akshara ended by saluting viewers from Bihar, urging them to celebrate their linguistic roots. She hopes the song becomes a bridge between regional and national cinema.
