Ajay Devgn on Parenting: Let Kids Choose Their Own Path

Ajay Devgn, the acclaimed Bollywood actor, shared his parenting philosophy during a discussion about his 2021 stint on "Into the Wild with Bear Grylls." The conversation turned to the future of his children, daughter Nyasa and son Yug, and whether they would follow him into cinema.

Devgn said he wants his children to make their own decisions about career and life. He observed that Nyasa is currently focused on her studies and shows little interest in acting, while Yug is still very young to have any clear ambitions.

"I don’t want to impose my wishes on them," he explained. "They should walk their own road, whether it leads to films or something entirely different."

Kajol, his wife, also confirmed that Nyasa has already decided against a career in the entertainment industry. Both parents highlighted the unique challenges faced by children of famous families, mentioning the constant media gaze and expectations.

In the realm of his own career, Ajay Devgn recently appeared in director Abhishek Pathak’s thriller "Drishyam: The Conclusion," acting with an ensemble cast that includes Tabu, Shraddha Saran, Rajat Kapoor, Prakash Raj, Jaydeep Ahlawat, Kamlesh Savant, Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav.
