All India Cine Workers Association Rallies Behind Satendra Sony Amid Threats

The All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has issued an unequivocal statement of support for actor Satendra Sony, who recently shared a video showing him visibly shaken after alleged threats and physical intimidation.

In a press briefing, AICWA President Suresh Shyamlal Gupta recounted that Satendra called him in a panic, describing how he was threatened while trying to collect his unpaid dues from a Maher‑based shoot. The president said he immediately relayed the incident to Maharashtra Home Minister Yogesh Kadam, who subsequently ordered the Oshiwara police to file a case.

AICWA warned that any attempt to harass actors or crew members, regardless of the producer’s stature, will trigger decisive action from the association. The body also highlighted a broader pattern of exploitation in the industry, where workers who raise their voices about unpaid wages often face professional blacklisting.

The association’s stance adds pressure on the film fraternity to address payment delays and ensure safer working conditions for all participants.
