AI Era Inspires Changes in KBC, Host Emphasizes Critical Thinking

Sony Pictures Networks India has disclosed that the next season of "Kaun Banega Crorepati" will incorporate a theme called "Sochna Padega" – a direct response to the AI‑driven changes reshaping society. In the latest promo, Amitabh Bachchan explained that the show aims to celebrate applied knowledge and decision‑making.

"Artificial intelligence has altered how we access information," Bachchan noted. "What once seemed impossible can now be done in a flash. To stay relevant, KBC must also evolve, requiring contestants to think before they answer."

The revised format will feature questions that go beyond factual recall, probing contestants' ability to analyse, infer and apply concepts across disciplines. The move is positioned as an effort to nurture critical thinking among viewers in an age of instant answers.

Season 18 is scheduled to air from 10 August, marking a fresh chapter for India's most iconic quiz show.
