In a nostalgic return to her roots, Soundarya Rajinikanth, daughter of superstar Rajinikanth and a key player in Tamil filmdom, is making headlines with her production comeback. Speaking at the pre-release function of ‘With Love’, the film she is producing under director Madan, she delved into memories of her past and hopes for the future.
The event turned personal when Venkat Prabhu, whom she invited, pointed out that ‘Goa’, her debut production, had hit screens 16 years ago. That film catapulted her into prominence as a producer. ‘Life threw many curveballs after that, keeping me away from production for a long stretch,’ Soundarya shared.
The revelation stirred deep emotions. ‘Stepping back into production after 16 years is surreal and deeply moving,’ she told the audience. She recalled her inner vow: to only return with a passionate, dedicated, and innovative team.
Praising the ‘With Love’ crew, she said, ‘Seeing this group today confirms my vision is reality.’ Overflowing with emotion, Soundarya declared, ‘I’m thrilled and honored by this return. It’s not merely a film; it’s proof of perseverance and belief. This opportunity feels divine.’
Her story resonates as an inspiring tale of resilience in the competitive world of South Indian cinema, setting high expectations for ‘With Love’.
