Malvika Mohanan, known for her dynamic roles in South Indian cinema, has announced a shift in her career aspirations. While promoting the upcoming spy thriller “Sardar 2”, the actress revealed that she wants to portray a gangster in future projects. She told fans, “I’m interested in playing a gangster role.” The statement came during a live chat where she also discussed her partnership with co‑star Karthi, emphasizing their shared love for snacks and on‑set camaraderie. “I can snack anywhere, anytime, and Karthi is just like me,” she laughed. “Sardar 2” continues the story of Agent Sardar (Chandra Bose) and his son Vijay Prakash, while also acting as a prequel that explores the agent’s past missions. Director P.S. Mithran, who tackled water‑management themes in the original, now focuses on health and hygiene issues. The film also features S.J. Surya as the menacing “Black Dagger”, adding a new layer of conflict. The multi‑language release is scheduled for 10 September.
