More than 30 people are dying every day only from Corona. There is no space available for the last cremation of dead bodies in Muktighat. The district administration has arranged for cremation of corona patients at 23 ghats in the capital. 35 new cremation ghats have been built in rural areas. At the same time, in other districts including Raipur, action is being taken to set up an electric crematorium to deal with the more deaths due to the Kovid 19 epidemic and the difficulties arising in burning the dead bodies in Muktidham. Urban Administration Minister Dr. Shivkumar Dahria has taken seriously the long wait to burn the corpse and the hardships faced by the people after the death in Muktidham. He has given necessary instructions to set up electric crematoriums in Raipur, Durg, Bilaspur, Korba, Bhilai and Risali Municipal Corporation. The Urban Administration Department has given permission to Raipur, Bilaspur, Korba and Bhilai and Durg, Risali Municipal Corporation Commissioner for seven days to issue short term tender / EOI in this regard. Permission was already given for electrical crematoriums at Raipur, Bilaspur, Bhilai, Korba.
