  • CG CRIME: Young man seduced a minor girl, then raped her, accused arrested

    Laxmikant Bansod, Balod. Dallirajhara police has arrested a youth accused of raping a minor. It is being told that the accused stopped the minor on her way to dance, coaxed her and took her with him and forcibly raped her. The police have registered an FIR against the accused under several sections including the POCSO Act and sent him to judicial remand.

    According to the information, on the complaint of the minor’s family, Dallirajhara police had registered a case against the accused under sections 363, 366A, 376 POCSO Act. Whose police traced the accused and arrested him.

    The name of the accused is Vidya Sagar Sahu (age 20 years), father is Kewal Ram Sahu, who is a resident of Bhangoli Para of Dallirajhara ward number 15. The police have sent the accused to jail on judicial remand.

  • CG News: Big action by police, smuggler of MP arrested with ganja worth Rs 10 lakh

    Mahasamund. Police in the district have arrested a youth from Madhya Pradesh for smuggling ganja. Police have seized illegal drugs worth Rs 10 lakh from the smuggler. The matter is of Basna police station area

    According to the information received, on Sunday Basna police had received information from an informer that there was a possibility of a person carrying ganja on a bike from Odisha side towards Basna. On this, the police team laid siege near the city ground and stopped the bike. After this, when the bike rider was interrogated, he revealed his name as 19-year-old Nandlal Rathore, resident of Madhya Pradesh. 20 kg 100 grams of illegal drug ganja was seized from the young man inside a white plastic sack in the back seat of the bike, whose value is said to be Rs 10,00,000. After this the police arrested the young man. Besides, the bike used in the incident was also seized from the smuggler’s possession.

Gram Panchayat Lafinkhurd is one of the 553 gram panchayats of the district. Here, ration is distributed to 819 families from the government fair price shop. Of these, 756 families are Priority and Antyodaya card holders, each member of whose family is being given 5 kg rice free of cost under the Garib Kalyan Yojana. By getting free rice, the worries of these families about getting ration ended and they are living a happy life.

    In the context of Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana, the salesman says that in our place, 5 kg rice is distributed free of cost per member every month.     According to the information, Masturi police got information from the informer that some people are gambling by investing huge amount of money in the field of Pathartal Khar of Masturi. After which the police reached the spot and laid siege, during which the gamblers, seeing the police, tried to run away but the police caught all the eight gamblers. In this case, Masturi police have registered 13 Gambling Act and Chhattisgarh Act against the gamblers. The crime is being registered and action is being taken under Section 03 (02) of the Gambling Prohibition Act 2022.
