Weekly Market Review: Gold Down ₹2,976, Silver Down ₹13,468 Amid Global Tensions

July 11, Delhi – This week’s bullion market saw a pronounced correction. The 24‑carat gold price fell by ₹2,976, landing at ₹1,43,368 per 10 grams. The 22‑carat and 18‑carat rates also slipped, ending the week at ₹1,31,325 and ₹1,07,526 respectively.

Silver recorded a sharper slide, losing ₹13,468 per kilogram to settle at ₹2,20,390. The metal’s intra‑week high of ₹2,33,158 on July 6 gave way to a low of ₹2,20,390 on July 10.

The price movements were released twice daily by the India Bullion & Jewellers Association. On the international front, gold trades around $4,100 per ounce and silver around $60 per ounce. Experts say escalation of US‑Iran tensions, including recent attacks on commercial shipping, is the primary driver behind the retreat in precious‑metal prices.
