Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2027 to Spotlight MSME Growth
The upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, scheduled for 2027, will serve as the focal point for showcasing the state’s micro, small and medium enterprises and their readiness for worldwide trade. In Washington, Chief Minister Bhupendrabh Patel and Walmart’s Dan Bryan discussed how the summit can be leveraged to secure pre‑summit investments and accelerate business deals.
The conversation emphasized the role of high‑quality production and enhanced logistics in unlocking export potential. Patel proposed a joint task force involving state departments and Walmart to conduct on‑ground assessments, determine priority sectors, and develop a clear action plan for MSMEs.
Walmart shared its internal training milestones, citing over 115,000 Indian SMEs trained since 2019 and a target of 170,000 by 2028. The partnership aims to equip Gujarat’s entrepreneurs with the skills needed to meet global consumer expectations and forge lasting trade relationships.
