Udaan Scheme Aims to Serve 40 Million Passengers by 2034

Under the revised Udaan plan, the government has set a goal to accommodate 40 million air travelers within the next decade. In the past ten years, more than 80 airports were upgraded or newly built, benefitting roughly 1.54 crore passengers with low‑cost flight options.

The minister stressed that the scheme’s success hinges on continued state participation and private‑sector investment.
