Trump Calls New Iowa Steel Facility the Biggest Ever in America

President Donald Trump labelled the proposed Iowa steel plant as the largest steel plant in American history. He said the plant, fed by Minnesota ore, could output roughly 10 million tonnes of steel per year and generate up to 6,000 construction jobs and an additional 2,000 positions in manufacturing, mining and related sectors.

The estimates are preliminary, as construction has not yet begun. The project is part of a broader administration goal to increase U.S. steel production and reduce dependence on imports.
