Silver prices in India climbed by ₹2,469 this week, moving from ₹2,31,373 to ₹2,33,842 per kilogram, according to IBJA data.
The highest silver rate of the week, ₹2,37,214 per kilogram, was logged on August 12 during the evening session, while the lowest, ₹2,31,373, occurred on August 10.
Internationally, silver trades near $65 per ounce, mirroring the domestic upward momentum.
Market observers attribute the silver rally to the same macro‑economic factors influencing gold – a slowdown in U.S. inflation and reduced probability of further Federal Reserve rate hikes, which tend to make non‑yield‑bearing assets more attractive.
