SEBI Introduces Revised Incident Reporting and Cybersecurity Portals

To address growing digital risks, SEBI rolled out a revised Incident Reporting portal together with a brand‑new Cyber Security portal. The reporting tool is designed to capture cyber incidents in a uniform format compatible with the Financial Stability Board’s FIRE protocol, simplifying data collection for the regulator. The Cyber Security portal serves as a repository for alerts on system vulnerabilities, best‑practice guidelines and case studies from recent attacks. Pandey highlighted that cyber threats are not confined to a single entity and can affect the entire market infrastructure, even across borders. He urged market participants to leverage these portals for swift reporting and collaborative defence.
