The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India reported extensive hygiene breaches at Sevan Sea Hospitality Private Limited on 30 September in New Delhi. Inspectors observed water pooling, unpleasant odours and dirty surfaces, as well as mould‑infested tomatoes, papaya, jaggery, cashew nuts and bell peppers, and cooking oil that had turned black.
Roughly 74 kg of non‑compliant food was destroyed on the spot and the establishment scored only 30 percent in compliance, leading to an immediate licence suspension.
