RBI’s latest executive director appointments: Suman Re and Monisha Chakravarty

In a dual announcement, the Reserve Bank of India elevated Ms. Suman Re to Executive Director and also appointed Ms. Monisha Chakravarty to the same rank. While Ms. Re will oversee the Deposit Insurance and Campus divisions, Ms. Chakravarty will manage the Foreign Exchange Department and the Financial Market Regulation Department. Both have served the RBI for over three decades, handling supervision, foreign exchange, and banking oversight functions.
