Rajasthan Hosts Global Economic Dialogue as BRICS Leaders Discuss Risks and Opportunities

Jaipur, 12 August – The state capital of Rajasthan is once again the backdrop for a critical discussion among BRICS economies. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra will steer conversations on macro‑economic development, financial market reforms and the mitigation of systemic risks.

The gathering follows a previous Jaipur session in 2021, which focused on post‑pandemic recovery, digital health, social infrastructure and the European Union’s carbon border adjustment mechanism. This year, the emphasis shifts towards fostering investment, enhancing financial inclusion and addressing the volatility in commodity markets.

State dignitaries, led by Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, have extended a formal welcome to the visiting officials, underscoring Rajasthan’s commitment to supporting international economic cooperation.

A cultural excursion to the Jaipur City Palace will complement the formal proceedings, offering delegates exposure to the state’s artistic legacy.
