PMFME Program Targets Two Lakh Beneficiaries, Surpasses Goal

Minister Paswan announced that the PMFME programme, launched to strengthen micro‑food processing units, has already enrolled more than two lakh entrepreneurs, surpassing the original target. He added that the initiative is a concrete step towards the Prime Minister’s call for self‑reliant youth who create jobs and drive economic growth. The scheme’s dual focus on packaging upgrades and technical know‑how, facilitated through collaborations with EPDA and ONDC, is designed to push Indian products into larger domestic and global supply chains.
