Key Milestones of PM Gatisakti from 2021 to 2026

Since its inception in 2021‑22, PM Gatisakti has progressed through five strategic phases: foundation, expansion, deepening, digitisation and outreach. In 2022‑23, eight core ministries joined the scheme and 71 projects were evaluated. The following year saw the inclusion of the social sector, with 1,463 data layers covering all states and UTs. The 2024‑25 cycle introduced the economic sector and launched the District Master Plan, evaluating 121 projects. By February 2026, 352 projects had been reviewed, and by the end of the year, a total of 421 projects worth ₹20.23 lakh crore were fully evaluated. The Cabinet also approved a unified transport and operations authority.
