Nifty 50 nears 24k on strong sectoral gains

The Nifty 50 closed at 23,962.80, just shy of the psychologically important 24,000 level, after a 0.34% rise. Realty (+3.5%) and Media (+2.0%) were the biggest contributors. Mid‑cap and Small‑cap indices also posted healthy gains. Sun Pharma, Bharti Airtel and Bajaj Finserv were among the top gainers.
