In a major boost to Gujarat’s workforce, the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has launched its new regional office in Ahmedabad’s Vatva industrial hub. Named ‘Bhavishya Nidhi Bhavan’, the facility was unveiled by Labour and Employment Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, promising quicker services to nearly 4 lakh members and 21,000 pensioners.
Spanning seven districts including parts of Ahmedabad, Anand, Kheda, Amreli, Botad, and Bhavnagar, the office caters to over 7,000 establishments. Monthly, it processes 50,000 claims with a remarkable 98% turnaround within 10 days, as per Regional Commissioner Supratik Dash.
The modern infrastructure, equipped with cutting-edge facilities and a single-window clearance system, stands proudly near key transit points: NH-48, Rabari Colony Metro, and BRTS CTM. This prime location slashes travel time for beneficiaries, making EPFO services more user-friendly than ever.
Feedback from the ground is overwhelmingly positive. ‘The new office’s location is superb, with great connectivity,’ shared Hatu Bhai, an employee at Vires Cables. Colleague Umang Pandit from Melacron India added, ‘Excitement is palpable among staff and public; processing speeds have doubled.’
Costing around 10 crore rupees for 1,723 sqm, this digital-first office underscores the government’s commitment to efficient social security delivery, setting a benchmark for future EPFO expansions.
