MSE Gold Contract Opens Lower; Silver Follows Slight Dip

On Friday, the Multi Commodity Exchange opened with gold prices in the red. The August 5, 2026 gold futures contract listed at Rs 1,44,890 per 10 g, a decline of Rs 410 (0.28%) from the previous close of Rs 1,45,300.
By mid‑morning, the price slipped further to Rs 1,44,603 per 10 g, marking a Rs 696 (0.48%) decrease.
Silver’s September 4, 2026 contract showed a narrower fall, opening at Rs 2,26,368 per kg and later trading at Rs 2,26,133 per kg, down Rs 244 (0.11%).
Internationally, COMEX gold lost 0.30% to $4,128 per ounce, while silver gained 0.18% to $60.86 per ounce, as markets processed the latest developments in the Middle East.
