In a strategic dialogue at Seva Tirth, Prime Minister Narendra Modi convened with top executives from 16 AI and deep tech startups on Friday. The session focused on pioneering technologies designed to resolve India’s pressing issues across multiple domains.
Participants presented their ventures, which operate in healthcare, farming, cyber defense, aerospace, and community upliftment. The PMO statement noted how these firms are deploying AI to address massive societal challenges. Healthcare innovations feature advanced diagnostics reaching rural areas, gene therapies revolutionizing treatments, and efficient data systems for patient care.
Farmers stand to benefit from geospatial tools and underwater analytics that enhance productivity and combat climate uncertainties. The group also tackled ethical AI practices, cybersecurity threats, space exploration, modernizing legacy systems in justice and education, and empowering enterprises through local language interfaces.
PM Modi commended the visionary leaders and encouraged developing India-specific applications. Conversations explored AI applications in agriculture—like soil monitoring and optimized fertilizer usage—and environmental protection. He stressed the need for AI tools that support Indian languages, enabling higher education in native tongues and preserving cultural heritage.
The roster of attendees boasted founders and CEOs from prominent outfits such as Abridge, Adalat AI, BrainsiteAI, Credo AI, Eka Care, Gleen, Inogal, Invideo, Miko, Origin, Prophase, Rassen, Rubric, SatSure, Supernova, and Sypha AI. Key government figures including PK Mishra, Shaktikanta Das, and Jitin Prasada joined the discussions.
This high-level interaction signals a bold push towards building a self-reliant tech ecosystem, positioning India as a global hub for AI innovations rooted in national priorities.
