The IPO, launched on July 21, was priced at a 6.85% premium to the issue band, resulting in a listing price of ₹613.30. The stock’s intra‑day peak of ₹624.95 on the debut day remains its highest level so far.
The offering drew a bumper response, with subscription at 41.66 times the issue and capital raised totaling roughly ₹9,812.91 crore. The pricing range for the issue spanned ₹545‑₹574 per share.
Founded in 1987, SBI Funds Management is a subsidiary of State Bank of India and, based on quarterly average assets under management, stands as India’s largest asset‑management firm. As of March 31, 2026, it managed assets worth ₹12.51 lakh crore, accounting for a 15.3% market share.
Overall market conditions were positive, as the Sensex gained 219 points (0.28%) to settle at 77,874 and the Nifty rose 65 points (0.27%) to 24,309. The upward momentum was largely restricted to large‑cap stocks, while mid‑cap and small‑cap indices slipped around half a percent.
