Leela Palaces revenue drops quarterly but rises annualy, profit falls

Leela Palaces Hotels & Resorts announced its financial results for the first quarter of FY‑27, revealing a mixed performance. Operating revenue declined 27.33 percent quarter‑on‑quarter to ₹352 crore, down from ₹484.4 crore in the previous three‑month period. nevertheless, on a year‑over‑year basis, revenue climbed 28 percent, improving from ₹275 crore recorded in FY‑26.

Net profit for the quarter was ₹49 crore, a steep 71.46 percent decline from the same quarter last year, which had posted ₹171.7 crore. The profit figure still represents a substantial rebound from FY‑26's Q1 profit of ₹9 crore, a 444 percent increase.

Adjusted EBITDA showed strong momentum, rising 41.6 percent YoY to ₹143 crore and pushing the EBITDA margin to 40.6 percent, above the 36.7 percent seen in the prior fiscal year. The board approved the acquisition of Shlos Tadooba Private Limited (STPL) for ₹120 crore, with payment to be made in installments and the deal expected to close by 2030. Following the results, the company's NSE‑listed shares rose 5.46 percent, settling at ₹494 per share.
