Maruti Suzuki’s Hansalpur complex has become the biggest passenger‑car manufacturing centre on a single site in India. The fourth production line adds another 2.5 lakh cars to the plant’s capacity, bringing the total to one million vehicles a year.
The complex already produces the Alto, Baleno, Swift and the new e‑Vitarra. With a combined national capacity of 2.9 million units, Maruti Suzuki stays ahead of the competition in volume and flexibility.
The company is also investing in skill development through two Japan‑India Manufacturing Institutes in Mehsana and Gandhinagar, which have trained over 1,200 students for the automotive sector.
