Large‑cap shares lose ground as mid‑ and small‑caps follow

Among the Sensex constituents, stocks such as Trident, M&M, Sun Pharma, TCS, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel, Tech Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, HCL Tech, UltraTech Cement, Asian Paints, Power Grid, Bajaj Finance, HDFC Bank, Infosys, L&T and SBI were among the laggards. Gains were limited to a handful of names including BEL, Eternal, Adani Ports and Bajaj Finserv.
