Karnataka High Court blocks asset transfer of BR Shetty

Records from the Karnataka High Court show that in 2021 the court issued an injunction preventing B.R. Shetty from selling or otherwise disposing of his assets. The restriction was reaffirmed during subsequent proceedings before the National Company Law Tribunal, where Shetty claimed personal insolvency and alleged an inability to repay the bank’s dues.

The court’s order remains in force, limiting any transfer of Shetty’s property until the outstanding liabilities are resolved.
