India‑Oman trade talks aim to double bilateral commerce to $25 billion

During the same session, Kalantari turned to the bilateral trade relationship with Oman. He reminded the audience that annual trade between the two nations stands at roughly $11 billion, covering pharmaceuticals, chemicals, engineering, infrastructure, shipping, marine services and green energy.

India’s goal, he said, is to lift that figure to $25 billion by expanding cooperation in these areas. The Omani side, represented by Khalid bin Suleiman Al Salehi, highlighted the Sultanate’s strategic location and world‑class port, airport and logistics infrastructure as a gateway for Indian companies seeking regional and global markets.

Both parties agreed that the 2025 bilateral trade agreement provides a strategic advantage, and they plan to move beyond talks to concrete joint ventures, investments and long‑term partnerships.
