Gujarat Minister Meets Bhajan Lal Sharma, Diya Kumari in Jaipur

A high-level Gujarat delegation met Rajasthan's political leadership in Jaipur on Friday to extend a formal invitation to the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2027. The meeting was led by state minister Kunwarji Bavaliya, who was joined by Shalini Agarwal, Managing Director of Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited.

The delegation invited Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari to take part in the three-day summit, which will be held in January.

The 11th edition of the summit is set for January 10 to 12, 2027, at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar. Investors, industrialists, policymakers and representatives from multiple sectors are expected to participate in the event.

The agenda will cover investment opportunities, industrial growth, innovation and international cooperation. The Rajasthan invitation is one part of a larger outreach drive that Gujarat has launched to engage business communities in India and abroad.

Gujarat plans to expand its investment outreach to 22 countries in October and November. The state will also organise roadshows in eight Indian cities to connect with potential investors and identify partnership prospects.

The summit's theme, 'Viksit Gujarat - Shaping Global Future,' reflects its focus on attracting investment while highlighting technology, advanced manufacturing, innovation and sustainable development.

Priority sectors include semiconductors and electronics, artificial intelligence, data centres, aerospace and defence, biotechnology and green energy.

The Vibrant Gujarat initiative was first launched in 2003, when Narendra Modi was Chief Minister of the state. It has since become a recognised platform for businesses, governments and investors to explore partnerships and discuss industrial development in Gujarat.

The delegation's visit to Jaipur is also aimed at strengthening economic and cultural ties between the two neighbouring states. Cooperation in investment, trade, industrial development and skill development could benefit businesses in both states.

The main summit will be held at the Mahatma Mandir Convention and Exhibition Centre in Gandhinagar. The Vibrant Gujarat Global Trade Show will be inaugurated on January 9 at the Helipad Exhibition Centre, one day before the summit opens.
