Green Hydrogen and Advanced Manufacturing Drive New Opportunities under TEPA

The TEPA framework identifies green hydrogen and advanced manufacturing as flagship areas for collaboration between India and EFTA members. By 2030, India aims to produce at least five million tonnes of green hydrogen annually, aligning with Norwegian maritime expertise, Icelandic geothermal technology and Swiss electrolyser know‑how.

Artificial intelligence, robotics and precision engineering are also highlighted as high‑potential fields. Indian incentive schemes such as Production‑Linked Incentive (PLI) programmes, Semiconductor India 2.0 and the India AI Mission provide a solid foundation for joint ventures with European technology providers.

Regional benefits are expected in states like Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala and the North‑East, where agricultural produce, seafood, coffee and spices can gain better market access. The agreement therefore creates a multi‑layered platform for large corporations, start‑ups and farming communities alike.
