Government eyes production‑linked incentive overhaul for polysilicon component

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has signaled a possible revision of the current PLI framework for polysilicon. Though the existing scheme attracted limited investments, the upcoming subsidy arrangement is expected to lower input costs, stimulate scale‑up of solar wafer plants, and enhance India's self‑reliance in renewable energy hardware.
