Government Announces Details of 20 Strategic Mineral Blocks in Upcoming Auction
In an official statement released on August 16, the Ministry of Mines confirmed that the eighth auction phase will include twenty mineral blocks spread across the country. The portfolio comprises three pure mining leases and seventeen joint‑license parcels, covering commodities such as graphite, rare‑earth elements, vanadium, gallium, titanium, molybdenum, tungsten, potash, phosphorite and glukonite.
The announcement emphasizes the significance of these minerals for India’s industrial growth and strategic self‑reliance. The road show will provide investors with data on block capacities, auction timelines, and the competitive bidding process.
Additional briefings will be delivered by MCL on licensing, SBI‑CAPS on tender documentation, and MSTC on the electronic auction platform, ensuring transparency and clarity for all participants.
