Government Allocates ₹95,692.31 cr for Rural Livelihood Scheme

A financial package of ₹95,692.31 crore has been provisionally released to states and union territories for the execution of the Developed India Employment and Livelihood Guarantee Mission (Rural) Act, 2025. The allocation is intended to fund the expanded 125‑day work guarantee, construction of permanent community assets, water‑conservation projects, and other rural infrastructure initiatives.

Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan highlighted that the budget covers the entire lifecycle of the programme—from project planning and execution to timely wage payments and technology‑driven transparency. He assured that the scheme will proceed without any hindrance, reinforcing rural incomes and contributing to the nation’s long‑term development targets.
