Geopolitical strain drags Indian bourses lower

Mumbai, 28 Sept – Heightened global tensions and rising crude prices forced the Sensex down 1,124 points (‑1.52 %) to 72,771.72 and the Nifty 50 down 360 points (‑1.56 %) to 22,780.25. PSU banks led the losses, while the IT sector recorded the smallest percentage decline.
