Five Tax Cases Against JSW One Platforms and Multiple Promoter Proceedings Detailed

The draft Red Herring Prospectus filed by JSW One Platforms ahead of its IPO lists five tax disputes directly involving the company, with a total contested sum of INR 9.57 crore. No criminal case is recorded against the firm itself or its subsidiaries, the prospectus states.

However, the promoters are linked to a substantially larger set of legal challenges. The prospectus enumerates 340 tax cases, three criminal matters, and 36 regulatory actions against them, cumulatively amounting to roughly INR 138.95 billion in potential liabilities.

Additionally, the promoters have launched 210 separate legal actions, amounting to around INR 78.28 billion, and are parties to nine other material lawsuits. The company reassures investors that none of its group entities face pending issues likely to have a serious adverse impact on operations.

The filing also outlines the share allotment plan: JSW Steel will offer shares worth up to INR 811 crore through an offer‑for‑sale, JSW Cement will sell shares valued at INR 123 crore, and existing investor Mitsui & Co. Ltd will dispose of shares totaling INR 820.01 crore.
