Extensive testing finds no contamination in India's E20 fuel

A comprehensive scientific audit of E20 petrol has cleared all doubts about possible contamination. The audit, carried out by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, involved random sampling from over one hundred refineries and distribution points.

Laboratory analysis confirmed that chloride concentrations were at or below one ppm, the maximum permissible level. Water content was likewise found to be negligible, disproving earlier speculations.

The ministry highlighted that the testing protocol adhered to internationally recognised methods, ensuring impartial and accurate results. No sample showed any sign of pollutants that could affect engine performance or consumer safety.

These findings are being communicated to the public to reaffirm that the fuel supplied across India is of high quality. The ministry also warned that any future allegations will be promptly investigated through the same rigorous scientific methodology.
