Equity mutual fund inflow drops 15% in July, small‑cap leads the segment

Equity mutual funds recorded a 15 percent decline in net inflow for July, falling to ₹ 24,697 crore from ₹ 28,973 crore in June. Within the equity arena, small‑cap funds attracted the most money, with ₹ 7,767 crore invested. Mid‑cap schemes followed with ₹ 6,192 crore, while flexi‑cap funds received ₹ 4,709 crore. Large‑ and mid‑cap and multi‑cap categories added ₹ 3,425 crore and ₹ 3,227 crore respectively. Exchange‑traded funds (ETFs) drew ₹ 9,512.05 crore, including ₹ 1,558.75 crore in gold ETFs and ₹ 1,536.60 crore in index funds.
