Civil Aviation Ministry summons Air India officials after 17 passengers injured

In response to the turbulence episode, the Civil Aviation Ministry called Air India’s top management to New Delhi. The briefing covered the aircraft’s abrupt descent, the crew’s response, and the condition of the flight data recorder and cockpit voice recorder, which have been secured for analysis. The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau has classified the event as a "serious incident" and is examining both the aircraft’s systems and the crew’s actions. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has temporarily removed the two pilots from the roster pending further medical and toxicology screening.
