BMIP Reduces Premiums by 35% as Conflict Zones Affect Shipping

The Indian Maritime Insurance Pool has recorded a sharp dip in war‑risk premiums, dropping between 35 and 40 percent after recent clashes in West Asia. The pool has underwritten more than 3,000 war‑risk cargo policies, 92 hull‑and‑machinery policies and three P&I policies.
