Block Deal Offloads 2.1 Million Shares of Tata Technologies
A block‑deal transaction on the Bombay Stock Exchange saw former Tata Technologies CEO Patrick Reman McGoldrick offload 2.1 million shares, valued at about ₹165 crore. Executed in four stages on Friday, the sale represented roughly 0.51% of the company’s equity. The average price per share was ₹785, culminating in a total consideration of ₹164.85 crore. Post‑sale, McGoldrick’s shareholding shrank from 1.13% to 0.62%. The shares were snapped up by several institutional investors, among them ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund, 360 One Asset Management and Carnelian Asset Management & Advisors. McGoldrick had retired from his CEO and MD roles in September 2014 after nearly two decades at the firm. Tata Technologies’ stock closed at ₹799.85 on the BSE, down 0.59%, with a 52‑week range of ₹890.15 to ₹507.50. The March quarter reported a consolidated net profit of ₹204.17 crore on revenue of ₹1,572.22 crore. Projections indicate FY2026 net profit will decline to ₹546.59 crore from ₹676.95 crore in FY2025, and the first quarter of FY2027 saw a 11.5% QoQ dip to ₹181 crore from ₹204 crore.
