Bhupendra Patel urges Ireland-Gujarat partnership at Vibrant Gujarat

At the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference in Vadodara, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel called for a strengthened partnership between Ireland and Gujarat.

Speaking with Irish Consul General Patrick Duffy, Patel said the upcoming India‑EU FTA could unlock new trade lanes and joint ventures across sectors such as agritech, pharmaceuticals and information technology.

He noted that Gujarat’s recent industrial policy, enhanced logistics and the launch of smart GIDC estates make the state an attractive destination for foreign capital.

The CM’s post on X underscored the intent to broaden cooperation in technology, skill development and sports diplomacy, reinforcing Gujarat’s reputation as a forward‑looking economy.

The event also featured delegations from Japan, Ukraine and Rwanda, all seeking to tap into Gujarat’s growth story.

Patel reassured Irish investors that the state’s business‑friendly reforms and ease‑of‑doing‑business initiatives are designed to facilitate smooth entry and expansion.
