Analysts Predict Resistance Levels for Gold and Silver Amid Fed Outlook
New Delhi, Oct 19 – Commodity market experts say the latest comments from Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh in Bangkok have pushed the probability of an October rate increase below 20 percent. That relief has been a key driver behind the recent uplift in precious‑metal prices.
Nevertheless, analysts caution that strong inflation data – highlighted by the fastest‑ever monthly rise in the Producer Price Index over the past four‑and‑a‑half years – keeps the prospect of a December rate hike alive. The upcoming Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting on Oct 27‑28 will be closely watched for any shift in policy stance.
For gold, immediate resistance is pegged at ₹1,48,600, with a more decisive barrier between ₹1,50,000 and ₹1,50,700. Support is expected at ₹1,48,000, followed by a zone of ₹1,45,300‑₹1,46,000 and a deeper level near ₹1,43,000‑₹1,43,700.
Silver’s short‑term resistance sits in the ₹2,14,000‑₹2,15,000 range, while the next major barrier could appear around ₹2,19,000‑₹2,20,000. Immediate support is identified between ₹2,07,000 and ₹2,08,000, with a stronger floor at ₹2,00,000‑₹2,02,000.
Traders are advised to monitor the FOMC outcome, rupee movements, and any further Fed commentary, as these factors will shape the price path for both metals in the coming weeks.
