Adani Enterprises outlines Rs 6 lakh crore plan across energy, aviation, data centres

Pranav Adani, director at Adani Enterprises Ltd., announced a sweeping investment of more than Rs 6 lakh crore for Maharashtra, targeting key growth engines in the state. The declaration came at the Invest Maharashtra event, attended by senior state leaders.

The funding surge will be directed toward six major verticals: energy infrastructure, aviation hubs, specialised aero‑districts, urban regeneration projects, next‑generation data‑centres and coal‑gasification plants. Partnering with the World Economic Forum, the conglomerate has drafted a roadmap that includes over Rs 2.6 lakh crore of projects already completed or under execution.

A central pillar of the plan is the "Mumbai 3.0" vision, which seeks to create a more connected, balanced and inclusive metropolitan area. In aviation, Adani manages Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport and is developing the greenfield Navi Mumbai International Airport, designed to accommodate more than 90 million travelers annually.

On the power front, Adani Electricity Mumbai Ltd. serves over 30 lakh homes and enterprises, with renewable sources supplying more than 60 percent of its electricity mix. A 1,000 MW high‑voltage direct‑current transmission line guarantees uninterrupted clean power to the city’s financial district. Complementary pump‑storage hydro projects are being deployed across Maharashtra to ensure a reliable 24/7 green baseload.

The group’s urban redevelopment agenda includes the ambitious Dharavi revitalisation project. The strategy, labelled "people first," focuses on constructing modern housing ahead of relocation, formalising thousands of micro‑businesses, and converting the sprawling informal settlement into a dynamic, integrated economic hub.
