Transmission Segment Drives Strong Q1 Performance at Adani Energy

In the first quarter of FY27, Adani Energy Solutions Ltd saw its transmission business propel overall results. Consolidated profit jumped to ₹1,149 crore, up 124% from the previous year, while revenue reached ₹9,711 crore, a 42.4% rise.

EBITDA for the quarter rose 30% to ₹3,008 crore, with an EBITDA margin of 31%. The transmission segment alone contributed ₹3,335.3 crore, a 52.4% increase over the same period last year.

Distribution earnings grew modestly by 5% to ₹3,520.4 crore. Smart‑meter revenues exploded by more than 200% to ₹346.9 crore, and the energy solutions platform recorded a nine‑fold growth to ₹1,906.8 crore.

The company also announced the acquisition of IntelliSmart for ₹3,050 crore, securing a 100% stake and expanding its smart‑meter portfolio beyond 4.7 crore meters.
