ACC Reports Solid Q2 Results, Expands Capacity and Green Power
ACC Limited, part of the Adani Group, released its second-quarter results for FY27 on Tuesday, highlighting steady growth in sales, expanded manufacturing capacity and progress on sustainability goals. Cement sales for the quarter totalled 9.7 million tonnes.
The company's exchange filing showed operating revenue of Rs 5,689 crore for the quarter. Operating EBITDA was Rs 401 crore, while the EBITDA margin stood at 7 per cent.
Trade sales contributed 78 per cent of the company's volumes, up 7 percentage points from a year earlier. Premium products accounted for 47 per cent of trade sales, rising 3 percentage points over the previous quarter. Blended cement now represents 85 per cent of sales, compared with 78 per cent in the same quarter last year.
In his remarks on the results, Vinod Bahety, Whole-Time Director and CEO of ACC Limited, said the company achieved robust performance in the second quarter and the first half of FY2027. He credited a better sales mix and higher sales of premium products.
Bahety said the Master Supply Agreement (MSA) impact means current numbers cannot be compared directly with earlier periods. He added that business activity remains highly encouraging, aided by the cooperation of trade partners.
The ready-mix concrete segment grew strongly, with quarterly volumes up 19 per cent year-on-year to 1.07 million cubic metres.
In terms of capacity, ACC commissioned a new 2.4 MTPA cement grinding unit at Salai Banwan in Uttar Pradesh during the quarter. It also added 1.0 MTPA of capacity at Kalamboli in Maharashtra. The company said these moves will boost its presence in key markets and assist future growth plans.
On sustainability, the company's green power share increased to 34.4 per cent from 30.3 per cent a year earlier. ACC also reported that its net score in the 2025 S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment rose from 72 to 82. Its gross score of 89 out of 100 is the best in the industry, according to the company.
